How to DIY Your Halloween Party Decorations
Last week, I talked about Halloween party activities, and now I want to show you some of my favorite Halloween party decorations that you can create without spending a lot of money. That’s the best kind, right? My Halloween party is in two weeks, and I’d like to get the decorating out of the way so I can concentrate of the rest of the details. I’m going to show you some of my own creations and some that I found on Pinterest.

BOWL WITH SKULLS
Most of my new Halloween party decorations this year are DIY projects using mostly items from The Dollar Tree and thrift stores, and, of course I get miscellaneous things from Amazon. This first one I’m showing you is a decorative bowl I got at the hospice thrift store for $2.99 and the skulls and spider were all from The Dollar Tree. We would usually put some sort of decorative balls in this kind of bowl, so I figured skulls would work, too!

mY FAVORITE HALLOWEEN MANTEL DECOR
On my fireplace mantel, you might recognize a few projects that I showed on my YouTube channel, like the wine bottles and the potions book. I added the cobwebs and spiders that I’d gotten from Amazon and the skeleton was from The Dollar Tree.

SPOOKY DARK FIGURE MADE WITH GAUZE
I don’t even know what to call this decoration, but it was so easy. It will look pretty creepy when it’s outside, in the dark. It actually looks really creepy in the light, too. I made it using one of our old tomato vine cages and turned it upside down. For the head, I used a wig mannequin (I think that’s what you would call it), however, you could easily use a plastic pumpkin trick-or-treat bucket instead. I’ll post a link to one from Amazon. I took 2 plastic black bags and put one over the top of it and then wrapped the second one around it and secured it with packing tape. I used black gauze cloth to put over the top of it. The link I’m providing is the package I bought from Amazon and it comes with 5 pieces of cloth. I used all of them and then cut a strip off the bottom of one and tied it below the “head”.

EASY DIY CANDLESTICK HOLDERS
I’m showing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ of these candlestick holders. It’s amazing to me what some black spray paint will do to completely change the look. These were all bought at a thrift store for under $5.00 each. On two of them, I just sprayed it lightly to give them more of an old, dusty look, and the other (center) one was sprayed all black. The Halloween drip candles that I showed you in my YouTube video with the wine bottle decorations would look great in these. The silver tray, by the way, was purchased at an antique store for $10.
